The Postman brought me some Stonewall goodies this morning.  I went online to grab one of the puppy bandana's, and oops... It's that time of year again! "The Big Knit" bobble hats are on the Innocent Smoothie bottles :OD I found one when I went to grab some lunch today. All my desk buddys, with the exception of big bird, now have a "Big Knit" bobble hat. Hooray!

We have about 3 weeks to go until our half marathon walk for charity. Today being a Bank Holiday Monday, Mam and I decided to do a long walk to try out the distance rather than the speed. We plotted a route from our house up along the River Tyne to the Quayside, over the Millennium Bridge and back home; altogether just over 12 miles. We done well, ( Read more... )

Whose bright idea was this?!
I have just received an email from Bupa, asking me to confirm my postal address, in order for them to start sending out race packs for the Great North Run (half marathon)! Eek. I am starting to feel slightly apprehensive about it. I need to keep reminding myself that it is for charity, and I am only walking. No running ( Read more... )

Well... I done it! I'm so so PROUD of myself. Was a little bit hairy getting going..& the couple of times I nearly went through a window(!) but such an awesome feeling. So awesome in fact, I wouldn't be against doing it again.

It was all done about 2hrs ago but man I'm still buzzing.. :OD Yay me!

So in little over an hour and half, I shall be dangling off the roof of a 200ft building on a rope... all in the aid of The Rainbow Childrens Trust.  So far I've raised £500 - and there's another 3 mad folk doing it with me, whose totals I don't yet know, but I think we've done quite well! :O)

I have clearly gone completely mad and, along with a few friends, have volunteered to abseil 200ft off the side of a hotel in Newcastle Upon Tyne to raise funds for Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.
