I've been thinking a lot about Jim Hundley lately--a man who was there for me and my family at a very difficult time in such a profound way. It just takes my breath away sometimes, just thinking about what he would say. I just did my devotion and came to a conclusion. Chambers for today, 10/10, states that God will not reveal something you already know. Rightness is in obedience, not 'being wise and prudent'. So, what I have known I needed to do and haven't done, it can be righted now by obedience, not by further study and conjecture ( Read more... )

I'm enjoying my new job okay. Jane gets here Wednesday for the summer. I finally have money to pay for stuff, which is great, but now I have no time for seminary classes or to go to the library anymore. Hopefully all that will work out. I'm praying and trusting the Lord to guide me.

I am very seriously considering going into the Army Officer program. I basically interviewed with a recruiter for a 25 Bravo IT officer slot in Washington before Christmas, and I know I could have it if I could only lose these last few pounds.
