I've got the Dreaded Lurgy (Australian for 'heavy cold'). So I have to cancel one of the two trips I intended for my three weeks off; I'll have to visit my sister in Tuncurry in January sometime instead.

A pleasant, low-key visit to the folks. At one point we thought Dad would be in hospital to fix his knees (large man, in his 70's, his knees have ceased being reliable.) I'm heading to Hobart, Tasmania, to see my parents for a few days. Might be able to catch up with an old friend, too.

Just came back from visiting my sister and nieces for the week. Had fun. Nieces have all grow'd up. Sister is fine.

I've been remiss in updating this thing. So:
Weekend before last; Saturday I went to putt putt with various friends in celebration of ashamel 's birthday. I noticed I've been blogging about my new job, but haven't really talked about my brother moving in, the other big thing that happened recently. That's because he's so quiet and amenable. Around Xmas I talked with my brother on the phone, to say the usual greetings etc. As I was feeling positive at the time - being employed and all - I offered that he could move down to Sydney and flat with me. I get along with most of my colleagues. Most especially, the shop floor manager (SFM) seems fond of me, finding my mistakes humorous rather than aggravating. And I do make mistakes.
