The last 48 hours have been spectacular! On Tuesday after work, I went to my friend Maria's house. She and I were best friends in high school, and even though she went to Notre Dame University while I stayed in California, and even though she's teaching English in Korea while I'm living at home, we are still very close. Memoirs of a Geisha is one of the best books I've read in a while. I'm probably the last person on earth who's read it, but if anyone else out there hasn't, go read it. It's a beautiful, captivating, well-written story. I definitely stayed up way too late several nights in a row reading it.
