Blink
So it has been a few days longer than I wanted it to be before I made this entry about the amazing things the boys are doing. It's weird. You reach a point where it seems like they don't do anything new for a while then suddenly it catches up and they do a whole slew of stuff that you didn't see coming.
Ethan is speeding along!!! He just started doing summer sults today!! I know this isn't a big deal to most parents... but it is to us since Alex didn't do his first one till this spring. He is 5 almost 6. Ethan is almost 2. Alex has just delayed in some of those things. He's gravitationally challenged thing. I mean it is great that he has caught up finally. But it is amazing to me that Ethan is doing all of this stuff already!!
Alex loves the WIi! We have tons of fun playing tanks together. It's a real bonding moment. We work as a team and he does pretty good! I'm so glad we got that thing.
Daddy went to a Ju-Jutisu thing this evening so I had the boys to put down alone. Which is fine. Mike does it enough without me. Why shouldn't I not do it alone as much?? (Actually I'm guilty to say that sometimes Daddy does put them down more than I do when my week day evenings are really full! Bless his heart!) Ethan went down first. He was having a time listening to me tell him to leave the dishes alone while I was loading them. He didn't want to listen. Or maybe he was just trying to get mommy's divided attention. In any case, I said that is it, bed time.
He went down with only a little fuss. Alex got to stay up for a little while longer to play the Wii with me. We had fun and then it was time for bed. He brushed his own teeth and climbed into bed. Kisses and lights out. Perfectly wonderful evening!
I wish the weather would stay cool like it is for another 2 months. Really. We've had a cool spell for a little bit. It's been nice. But it won't last. We are almost to the end of April. And then we get the real heat. Not looking forward to that.
Hey, it's almost 6 years we've been in this house!! I'll have to look up the exact date... but April 2003 we moved into this house. Cool. That was fast. Two kids later... it's been 6 years.
