In which I ramble about pirates, steampunk and books.

My cold is already kicking the bucket, which is awesome. I think my plan to shock it out of the system with garlic, lemon, ginger, honey and whatnot worked! I'm still snotty, but I can breathe through my nose, and it's passed more over into a nasty cough, but the cough usually means the cold is on its way out, so it's all good.

...I've caught yet another cold. I am NOT happy.

Also, I'm drowning in schoolwork and it's making me want to curl up and hibernate. Guh.

However, on saturday I'm marathoning all of BBC's Sherlock with nerak-rose while we stuff our faces with baked goods, snacks and pizza, and fangirl our little hearts out. It will be glorious.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the release of the movie The Fellowship of the Ring.

Ten years, man. I was twelve!

I remember everyone were reading the book in preparation for the movie premiere, and I attempted to read it, too. Gave up after a couple chapters. Then went to see the movie. When it finished, I went straight home and pulled out ( Read more... )

I want to do it all over again.

So, like, can I just get all of the Lord of the Rings ever etched into my skin?

Okay maybe not.

But I’ve now developed a hankering for the white horse on Théoden’s banner. Or is it Éomer’s? I’m not sure. Either way, I want it.
