The first day of my internship went well. I go back on Tuesday. My boss (Emily) is really cool, and the Editor (Bel) told me that I should be receiving feedback for a previous submission soon. Ok. So I didn't get THAT internship, but they gave me another one. Woo. I'm an Express Media intern! 

I'm feeling pretty good today. Got off work at 2.00pm, ran some errands. Now I'm having a drink, eating chocolate covered coffee beans, and watching Scrubs. And work gave me 18 hours next week, so yay. I wont be poor. Well ... I won't be as poor as I am now. 

Well, more like 35, but still. It's fucking hot. Me and Draike have pretty much spent the second half of today unsticking ourselves from the furniture.

In other news, I got an email from Voiceworks saying that my piece is being considered for their next issue, so yay me. And I got two emails about the other one, thanking me for submitting. Both ( Read more... )

I went to the Lismore library today and found a pamphlet for volunteering with the Neighbourhood center, so I think I've found a possible solution to my job/money situation. I'm pretty sure centrelink counts volunteer work in their NewStart thingy, so yay me. I've been wanting to volunteer for a while, and it'll be good to put on my resume. In ( Read more... )

Oh sweet lord I hate customers. Today, everybody who came up to me smiling I wanted to kill. Even the children. No, wait...ESPECIALLY the children.

Though on the plus side, the hours I have this week will finally help me get out my layby for my iPod and new camera. Still, I have to wonder if it's worth it if I want to ESPECIALLY kill children.
