It is a million degrees here

Well, more like 35, but still. It's fucking hot. Me and Draike have pretty much spent the second half of today unsticking ourselves from the furniture.

In other news, I got an email from Voiceworks saying that my piece is being considered for their next issue, so yay me. And I got two emails about the other one, thanking me for submitting. Both those responses were sooner than I thought, but I did submit pretty close to the deadline so...

Anyway, turns out Centrelink provides no assistance to full-time volunteers. Not too keen on getting another job seeing as I'm moving in a couple of months but it seems I will have to. Unless Big W gives me more shifts, which is possible I suppose. Especially with Christmas coming up. I changed my availability during my shift yesterday so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. In the mean time I am almost the poorest I have ever been, except for earlier this year when I was living by myself. At least things aren't THAT shit. lol. I'm all paid up on my bills though so its nothing I can't handle.

I hate daylight savings.

End transmission.

EDIT: I was just reading an article on the Bitch website about women writers. It was pretty interesting. And i'd have to say that I'm usually very dismissive of my own stuff ( ...yeah, I just did it. "Stuff" should be WORK). Not that I don't think that this isn't an issue for new writers of both genders. All but one of the lecturers for writing at Southern Cross are women, but I think thats pretty rare.

money, writing, work
