Time for a real entry in between fic updates.

To be honest my writing’s hit a pretty dry spell; I just don’t seem to get around to it.

I think it’s partly because I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently.

I started working on my Labyrinth fic, and what's happened?  It's totally taken over - it's becoming really long!  That's not a bad thing though; it's probably the first time I've written with a whole plan in mind.  I actually see this story right through from beginning to end, and that's the first time in years that's happened.  I'm enjoying the ( Read more... )

Good day at the library yesterday.  I got the latest Dexter, Dexter's Final Cut, which I've just started reading, and the new Jo Nesbo, Police, which is next to be read.  Am still waiting for Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, but I was glad that hadn't turned up, because there is no way I would be able to read all three in one library loan period, and ( Read more... )

A theme going through some if the books I'm reading at the moment or plan to read in the near future is hotels. A man came into the library the other day and asked me if we had the new Sherlock Holmes film. I told him we did but there were requests on it so he could go on the list. Casual as anything he says “well, I AM in it”. A co-worker and I just thought he was kidding, thinking he was some Robert Downey-Jr type or something, and she made a joke of it ( Read more... )

The joys of wi-fi mean I’m out in the back garden, enjoying this lovely afternoon, whilst also catching up on Twitter, Tumblr, LJ, and possibly going to buy some new books for my Kindle once I’m done with all that. All I’m posting here at present is book reviews. That’s because they’re already written, dating back to the beginning of the year, and I’m lazy and haven’t go around to posting them.
