Coming Live From The Garden

The joys of wi-fi mean I’m out in the back garden, enjoying this lovely afternoon, whilst also catching up on Twitter, Tumblr, LJ, and possibly going to buy some new books for my Kindle once I’m done with all that. This warm weather makes me want to read something cheerful; not exactly masses of that kind of thing in my collection already, so I’ll have to see what I can find…

The downside of being outside, the stupid yappy dog next door is watching me, and barking non-stop. Don’t think he likes my cat either, who is sitting keeping cool in the shade, probably a tiny bit too near the dog’s territory - oops!

Have been reading some more of A Storm Of Swords 2: Blood And Gold, and am just pondering whether I want to read any more, because I think the next chapter is Arya and the Hound having a fight with some of Gregor‘s men, and I don’t think Sandor’s going to get the best end of it. Not sure I want to read this in case he dies.

Okay, so I’ve already partially spoiled myself for want does happen to Sandor, but only partially, so I could be totally wrong and this really could be the end, the very end, in the next few pages…

If my all-time favourite character is going to die I think it will be even worse than the Red Wedding.

I want to re-read Dracula as well (there goes the cheerful quota for the day!!!) because we’re thinking of taking a short break in an apartment in Whitby. The idea came out of nowhere really. Someone suggested Scarborough, and I knew that was near Whitby, which is where Dracula is partly set, so I started Googling the place. It looks really nice actually, and there should be plenty to fill a short break with. Gives me a good excuse to go back to a novel I really enjoyed as well.
