My best friend, who lives out of state, sent me red roses for my last working day in clinic yesterday. It's the first time anyone has ever bought me flowers and...it's nice. She is so thoughtful it makes me feel like a heel when I'm not able to reciprocate as well. I really do adore her and I wish I could do a better job at showing it.

I just had the most stressful several days. We have these new interns on nights who were super annoying and one of whom thought he was way smarter than he actually is, which is a dangerous quality in an intern in July. My friend and I hit the bike park again on Thursday. It was off the chain literally at one point as my chain had actually come off the gears.

We started off on Loop 1 and, holy cow, we ran across a pair of gents actually unicycling. Off-road unicycles? With the fat tires and everything? Sometimes this world is an awesome place.

I went to the track tonight only to discover, to my delight, that it was totally iced over. The physics of it baffled me (I mean, nothing else was frozen...) but considering that I could have literally pseudo-ice skated on it, I decided that I'd pre-emptively save my dignity by leaving before I could fall on my ass and go elsewhere for a run.
