The X-Files S11 died as it lived: ( SPOILERS )

So, the current season of The X-Files is actually...good? I know, I can't believe it either! I would put episodes two and four up with some of the best of the series, especially ep 4, written by Darin Morgan. Episode three was a little rougher around the edges, but still enjoyable, and included ( spoilers )

This is kind of a weird story for those of us who have been hanging around in fandom for the past decade (plus) and remember when the Cassie Claire brouhaha blew up: Cassandra Clare is being sued for copyright infringement. I am simultaneously thrilled and terrified about this X-Files reboot. It could all go so, so wrong, but...I want to believe. (Yes, I am at least the one millionth person on the Internet today to make an "I want to believe" reference.) If nothing else, it is always a delight to see Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny together.

Awww, it's The 20th anniversary of the airing of the first episode of The X-Files! That article, from Alan Sepinwall, makes it sound as if most fans at the time were drawn to the show by the mythology, but that's not at all what drew me into the show (and yep, I watched from the first episode on).
