Friends had an impromptu dinner party yesterday, serving wonderful sandwiches on thick-cut, homemade bread with roasted asparagus, bacon (real bacon from Nueskes not the shriveled stuff that passes for bacon), thin slivers of a smoked Gruyere, and apple. I've always been a person that likes having heroes, that takes inspiration from others. Some are real, such as say, John Adams, Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter; and some are fictional Robin Hood, Captain Kirk. I've got for the little guy made good. But most of all, I think was Luke Skywalker.
