I wasn't going to post any photos this week, but cosmiccircus's remark about having a sunset photo reprinted in a newspaper in black and white reminded me that I had some actual black-and-white sunset photos. I took them with a red filter for extra effect, and the result was apocalyptic to say the least.

Bear with me, those of you who aren't crazy about the double-exposure experiment. I'll get back to Turkey photos in just a few days.

Before I went to Turkey I carried out a bit of a double-exposure experiment. I loaded my point-and-shoot Samsung with a black-and-white film for which I had no other purpose, took photos of things I thought might make interesting backgrounds for double exposures, carefully jotted down what was in each photo and then ran the film through once again ( Read more... )

Does this look cross-processed or what? The bizarre thing is, it isn't a cross-processed photo. Nor did I heavily alter the colours in Photoshop. This is roughly how the scan appeared on my screen when I opened it in Photoshop.

I have no idea what happened here -- whether it's a bad scan or whether the negative was damaged. Judging from the ( Read more... )
