For a blog post, I'm collecting examples of funny/embarrassing/obscure ways verbal kids who nurse ask to do so. It will be lighthearted, but in a pro-extended-breastfeeding way. What have your kids (or others you've known) come up with?

I got myself an account on Wagn (like Wiki, but like databases) so I could start setting up a user-edited database of local food sources in the region--so people could search on a particular kind of food (butter, blueberries, hot dogs) or venue (restaurant, store, farmer's market, etc.) to find locally grown/raised/prepared food.

We've embarked on a background project of accumulating a small reference library on what I guess could be most easily summarized as "sustainable living" topics. Things you might want to have on hand post peak oil, whether than comes suddenly or gradually, but especially if Internet connections or even content get less reliable. So against what might be my better judgment, I'm teaching the weeklong class for 12-16 year olds in "getting published" again this year. I have doubled or possibly tripled the amount of activities I have planned and I think it will go a lot better than last year.
