I watched the first episode of Damo a few days ago with my mom (who was more interested in seeing it than Faith). Which is just one of the reasons this drama is perfect. It's refreshing than in Tree, everyone is smart so I can stop facepalming and cringing at every misstep that could've been avoided with a bit of common sense, and just enjoy these brilliant, brilliant people trying to outsmart each other.

I am currently rabidly obsessed with everything about this show. The political machinations and wall-to-wall murders of Suyang (now King Sejo, dammit!) are just as addicting as the Seung-yu/Se-ryeong fiasco love story, perhaps even more so. There's so much to like in Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus. It's an incredibly visual book, lush and atmospheric. The circus is written with loving detail, from the wondrous giant clock to the dream-like performers. I think I would've loved this book if it weren't for the awful "love story".
