There was a news article recently about Wakabayashi (from the comedy duo Audrey) singing the theme to... a Disney Channel animated movie or something, which was horrifying because Wakabayashi is a TERRIBLE singer. And so I've been spending the past day watching clips from Uta Heta Tournament. ( Here's some of my favorites (cut for length). )

I'm not sure how many people will be entertained by this, but my dad sent me this link to a comedy sketch about what happens when you combine voice recognition with Scots. He recently got a new car with a voice-activated, hands-free cell phone system, and his only comment about this video was, "No wonder I can never call some people."

This was the opening line of a Yahoo article today:
Here's what Generation Y doesn't want[ in terms of houses]: formal living rooms, soaker bathtubs, dependence on a car.

This has been making its way around the internets, but I just hate to think that anyone would miss the hilarity. Disclaimer: I love Bonnie Tyler's song "Total Eclipse of the Heart".
