Forever
Yeah, yeah, I know it's been forever since I've come out of the dark little apartment to see the light of day and be social. It's finals time... my first big block 4 final is tomorrow, then we have "shelf" finals next monday, wednesday and friday. They are basically old retired USMLE Step 1 questions and will count for a whopping 30% of my grade. Good thing I have some leeway going in. It is going to be brutal. But then, in exactly 8 days, my first year of medical school will be over. I am going to celebrate for a few days, spend my summer working out and training for a triathelon I am wanting to do in september, and hang out in a docs office. It won't come quick enough. I am tired, mentally, physically, emotionally. The day I no longer have to live out of a suitcase just might be one of the happiest days ever.
