I've been depressed and bored lately.  I've been trying to think of things to do to spice up my life, and this is what I have so far:

1. Walk a different way to class/to my dorm.
2. Take a shower at a different time everyday.
3. Face a different direction in the shower.

I am literally crying from boredom.   I'm officially in rut mode.

I've done about three things on break so far:

1. Watch Moomin
2. Drink tons of tea and coffee
3. Origami

Doing all three at the same time is best.  It's the magic solution to stress.  I bought fifteen bottles for the origami stars I've made.  I've made about 500 stars in the past week.  Now I have hand cramps, but it's worth it. They're Christmas gifts for my ( Read more... )

Recently, it looks like my chances of studying in Japan have increased quite a bit.

I'm back at school.  It's strange but marvellous at the same time.  Opening weekend was a few weeks ago, and I think it all went rather well... I hope.  All of my first-year students are wonderful, and I'm still in contact with many of them.  It was an exhausting few days, but it was so worth it.  I barely ate or slept, and I even got sick that ( Read more... )

Taught my boyfriend's six-year-old sister how to headbang to D'espairsRay today.  I'm so proud.  Both of her and myself.  :')

We finally got my mom admitted to the hospital.  We called the police, told them about the situation, and they came to the house.  They talked to my mom, and she decided to go with them voluntarily.  At the moment, she's going to be here for twenty-four hours and they're going to give her a psych evaluation.  After that, we're not sure what, but we ( Read more... )

The worst thing about college is the frequency with which your fellow students die.  You may not know them, but just hearing about it is awful because there's something you share with that person, and that's living in the same place as you, attending the same classes or classrooms with you, eating the same food you do, living so close to you.  And ( Read more... )
