The porch is getting close! All 3 colors of paint have come into play! I'm very happy. Yes, there will be pictures when it's all done.

Years and years ago I started a quilt based on a project in PieceWork. Not too long after that I decided the colors were ugly and I hated applique (2 of the blocks were pieced and 2 appliqued). I recently found it again and for some reason was compelled to start working on it again. As I did, it sort of grew on me. Last night I finished sewing the top together. Now I just need to order batting and quilt the darn thing.

The embroidery project I'm working on has progressed to the metallic thread part. And the thread is too thick for the needle provided. Grr. I hope I have a slightly larger needle at home.

Must figure out what I'm wearing at BurlyCon. There's a vintage party, a prom-themed dance party, and a pajama movie.
