Yesterday I spent the morning saying goodbye to Meagan. We made the final segments in our travel documentary and took the last of our London action pictures. I'm pretty damned sure that I saw Conor Oberst last week. Said "bright eyed" boy was sitting a couple of tables down from me and Meagan at our favorite sushi place. This was only a day or two after a gig at the Koko in London (and a couple of days before an Oslo concert), so I think that it is a strong possibility. This possiblity excites me ( Read more... )

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was out and I ended up carrying my coat for most of the day. Meagan met a really incredible girl at the check-out line in Sainsbury's (our local grocery store) last week. Her name is Audrey and she is a stunning red-head who bubbles over with positive energy. One of my students told me to "Stop it!" when I told him to put his jacket on and go outside for recess. He then ran out the door (at least he did what I wanted). He stood outside and I watched through the window as he shouted at me like a disgruntled cab driver, complete with irate hand gestures.
