I spent a fair bit of time this weekend thinking of food. We planned a month of dinners which is not as easy as it sounds. I made jerk pork Sunday night so I'd have dinner this week. The pork is excellent but the rice/beans/vegetables... boring. Today I thought to spice them up, now they are too spicy to eat. :(

The rice cooker had its first test drive the other day. Using brown basmati rice, not really sure if it worked? Is brown rice tougher then white?
