Keira just won her first "argument" with me using reason. She told me she was going to cut the hair on one of her MLP's. I told her not to. A couple minutes later, she came in with one half-shorn, and said, "These are my ponies and I want them to look the way I want them to look." That's...a good point ( Read more... )

So we're getting Keira a new bed, which means she has an old one she doesn't need any more and we do not exactly have storage space for it, especially when we have no plans for another kid. However, it's a great crib/bed, and we'd like to see it get another life ( Read more... )

So, Keira now knows how to play Nintendogs well enough to intentionally navigate the menus to take out the "Balloons" toy. This is after she turns on the DS and starts up the game. She has also bought her own puppy, though that was probably by accident ( Read more... )

Keira's Nonna bought her the Baby Einstein "My First Signs" DVD. I love the idea...I'd love for Keira to be capable of more meaningful communication. She seemed to enjoy the video a lot, but on her second viewing, she only really reacted to the sign for "ball," which she interpreted as Marlie Matlin clapping, so she clapped along ( Read more... )
