Hello! This cross talk was fun to read and I'm glad it's more than the usual talks they had about their radio show from previous interviews! :) I also included their seductions to each other at the end hahaha!
I'm really thankful to NHK Radirer for letting inohika be their MC. I don't get to see much inohika on screen so I'm really glad that this radio show is here <3
I hope you enjoy reading this cross talk! :D
Inoo: It’s been a year since we were featured in Stella~ It’s surprising how time flew so fast!
Hikaru: The last time we got interviewed was the day I dyed my hair pink (laughs).
Inoo: Ah!~ The time Hikaru was pink! (laughs) I see… so it’s already our 3rd year as Radirer’s MC (earnestly)
Hikaru: At first, we didn’t know how to call our listener(‘s name). We didn’t want to call them by their first names so, we kept thinking if it would be “-san?” or “-sama?” It was also our first time to know about reverberation (echoing sound. Note: I think in this context, echo in radio).
Inoo: We’ve considerably gotten used to it (radio shows) but there is still unchanging happiness (in doing the radio show), right? Things like “konbanwaffoi,” which is being used by our listeners, and our “Tonight, I’ll Seduce You!” corner has been continuing ever since.
Hikaru: Since it’s a live broadcast, it’s natural that we feel nervous but the fact that we don’t know what’s going to happen next makes it interesting. I get excited thinking, “I wonder what’s going to happen today?”
Inoo: When we throw in questions, we get responses from Twitter or mail immediately that’s why everyone’s opinions are directly transmitted. I find that really fun. We’ve also gotten used to speaking while looking at Twitter, right?
Hikaru: Yeah, you’re right.
Inoo: I think because of the restrictions in a radio show where we are only able to transmit things just by voice is what makes it appealing.
Hikaru: We also talk like normal too, right?
Inoo: Yes yes. That’s why we have one of our corners which was just made after a sudden thought. “Madam talk” was developed from my talk. What was it supposed to be named again?
Hikaru: “Girls’ talk?”
Inoo: That’s right! From “Girls’ talk” to “Boys’ talk,” it became “Madam talk” and then even to a “Grandparents’ talk.” There’s cases when during live broadcasts, we got hyped up until some of our corners are born from our conversations.
Hikaru: I think that many of our fans are on the younger side but I get happy when we receive comments like “I’m listening to Radirer with my mom,” or “My dad became a Hey! Say! JUMP fan.”
Inoo: I think that it’s important that people from different generations could take interest in our group and follow our tv programs and such.
Hikaru: I’m also thankful that the staffs incorporate our thoughts and opinions.
Inoo: But aren’t the staffs out of things to be put in our seduce corner already? (laughs) Last time we seduced a t-shirt with a tiger printed on it!
Hikaru: I was troubled with that! (laughs)
Inoo: It’s hard to know how to seduce a t-shirt (laughs)
Hikaru: though I liked the design of the shirt..
Inoo: You said it last time too!
Hikaru: It was for ladies so I gave up on it. (laughs)
Inoo: (laughs)
Hikaru: It’s troublesome if I can’t come up with a seduction at all.
Inoo: But you know, you’ve gotten really good (in seducing), Hikaru!
Hikaru: Did I really? (laughs) It’s because I was really bad at first.
Inoo: If I look back 1 year ago, I don’t think I’ve improved (in seducing). The more I did it, the more I didn’t know how to seduce. (laughs)
Hikaru: Even if you tell me that I’ve gotten better, I still lose a lot of times.
Inoo: (laughs) On the other hand, there were a lot of cases where we thought we failed but the result was favorable.
Hikaru: Certainly! Even now the listeners and the staffs tease me with my mistake “We are I love you.” (laughs)
Inoo: It’s Hikaru’s famous saying after all! Just like my toriranporin mistake for trampoline. (laughs)
Hikaru: It’s a pattern where your failures are pleasing…. (bitter smile)
Inoo: Don’t you want to try doing a system where we get to know the subject in advance then we do the seduction the next week? Like a homework version!
Hikaru: Ee~ I don’t want~
Inoo: I’m thinking of the level our seduction could reach in that 1 week thinking time. (laughs)
Hikaru: Uwa, I don’t want to do it like that after all!
Inoo: Ok let’s stop at that (laughs). It was also fun when JUMP members guested and did the seduce corner with us as well, right?
Hikaru: We’ve had 1 or 3 guests last time but that day was after our concert. The members who came were Chinen, Yuto, and Keito, right?
Inoo: When we went on concert tour last year, there were days that we also had our Radirer live broadcast and some fans asked if some members will join us. This year, some also said that they want the members to come after our concerts so we asked the staffs in advance.
Hikaru: We also called on the members to join us.
Inoo: This kind of thing (members guesting in their radio show) can be done because the radio show is still continuing. I feel happy that our program is still here.
Hikaru: It’s more fun with the members and the fans are also pleased.
Inoo: Hikaru and I are usually not the talkative type so when everyone is here, the atmosphere changes. Hikaru and I take note of the dialogue with the listeners first when it’s only the two of us but when the members come, it becomes the usual Hey! Say! JUMP dressing room situation.
Hikaru: There’s a different kind of fun atmosphere when it’s only Ino-chan and I ne.
Inoo: As expected, since we’re doing a radio show, we really want to think about making the most out of tools such as Twitter and telephones to answer the listener’s opinions and expectations.
Hikaru: We’re thinking of things where listeners can participate. We’d like to challenge that.
Inoo: After our live broadcasts, we hold meetings with the staffs and talk about how we can make our distance with the listeners closer. We talk about things like, “What do you think about this plan?” or “Next time, let’s try to introduce the comments from Twitter as much as possible.”
Hikaru: We want to discover more projects that could be enjoyed by ears since this is a radio show. It would be good if people would say that Radirer is a radio program with fun corners.
Inoo: Radirer is a 3-hour live broadcast so I also want to do collaboration projects with the other time slots. How about exchanging the MC one by one?
Hikaru: That seems interesting.
Inoo: Doing the seduce corner with Yasui-kun and Takahashi-kun was fun so I also want to do it with the Sexy Zone members. But Marius still can’t appear on the 10pm live broadcast huh.
Hikaru: It’ll be fine if it’s our 8pm broadcast so come here, Marius~ (laughs)
Inoo: Let’s experience live broadcast together~!
Hikaru: And to everyone, sorry for always leaving first~!
Inoo: Specially to the 10pm broadcast, Sexy Zone, sorry~!
Hikaru: We’ve seen Sexy Zone ever since they entered the agency so doing a program together is usually strange. That’s why I’m happy (that they could work in the same program).
Inoo: From now on, let’s all hype things up!
Hikaru: That’s right. Let’s challenge a lot of things.
*Bonus*
Tonight, I’ll Seduce You! (Inoo to Hikaru and Hikaru to Inoo)
Inoo:
“Yaotome Hikaru… You have 8 maidens in you huh. (note: He did a pun from the meaning of the kanji of Hikaru’s name) You don’t usually show your weak side, but isn’t it fine to show me at least 4 of your maiden self?”
Inoo’s comment: Hikaru ne, he’s occasionally a natural airhead. Surprising words come out from him (laughs). But he really loves music so he properly selects songs that would be played in our radio show. We’re unconsciously doing this but the two of us somehow naturally divide our roles (for Radirer). He’s an existence that I’m thankful for.
Hikaru:
“You always show your morning face, afternoon face, and evening face on tv, but any version of Ino-chan is beautiful~ From now on too, please be a shining idol.”
Hikaru’s comment: Ino-chan is my follow-up. I leave the radio program progress to him and I always just freely talk. Come to think of it, I don’t mind the clock (laughs). Since Ino-chan is the one who looks at the clock, I just glance at it a bit. I don’t have any requests. From now on too, please take me in your care. (laughs)
Note: English and Japanese are not my native language so this might not be 100% accurate. I haven't proofread this yet too but I'll read it again tomorrow then edit it if ever there are spelling mistakes or grammatical mistakes.
