Hello! I'm so happy that inohika has a cross talk in Popolo 10.2017! I don't get to see inohika moments that much anymore so I'm really really happy about this! :D They talked about Radirer Saturday, Seduce corner, and many more! I hope you enjoy reading this~
10 years of us. Theme: Radio
In live broadcast programs, the distance between you and the fans is close, right?
Hikaru: Ever since I was little, listening to radio shows has been my comfort. If it’s a radio show that plays music, I always looked forward on what songs I would hear.
Inoo: You’re right. Radio shows where you can request songs are somehow fun, right?
Hikaru: That’s why when it was decided that I would do Radirer Saturday with Ino-chan, I was really happy. I really look forward to what will become of the contents of our radio show every week!
Inoo: We were in the rehearsal room when it was told to us, right? They said, “it was decided that you’ll do it with Hikaru!”
Hikaru: Yeah. I was genuinely pleased that it would be the two of us. (laughs)
Inoo: The charm point of radio shows, especially Radirer, is that it’s a live radio show. There are recorded and live broadcast radio shows but our radio program is live broadcast.
Hikaru: Yeah since there’s a different fun and interesting aspect when it’s live broadcast.
Inoo: It’s fun to read the mails from the listeners and the reactions from Twitter on real time.
Hikaru: One big charm point of live broadcast radio shows is that it’s a give and take for us and for the listeners compared to tv variety shows where it’s mostly just a one-way interaction for the fans.
Inoo: With that being said, we can feel that live broadcast radio shows really lessens our distance with the fans, right? Then when listeners send mail about things they want to consult with us, of course the two of us talk about it but listeners also say remarks regarding what we replied to the sender on twitter. With that, the topic widens.
Hikaru: We can enjoy the program with the people listening.
Inoo: More than being difficult, the enjoyment of doing live broadcasts wins. (laughs)
Hikaru: The staffs also think of various fun ideas, right? There was food reporting, and there was also a time we actually cooked rice in the studio. (laughs) I think the words we say will be conveyed to the listeners with those kinds of things that make them “listen with the ears.”
Inoo: There were also times we made phone calls to listeners, but it’s also interesting when our phone calls fail and no one picks up during a live broadcast. Perhaps listeners also enjoy our phone calls.
Hikaru: if it’s live broadcast (laughs)
Inoo: The fact that we also do evaluation meetings after our radio show ends is also unique. The plans and ideas made on those meetings are also used in our future live broadcasts too.
Ino-chan’s specialty is seducing things
Hikaru: Oh yeah, “Tonight, I’ll Seduce You” corner became such a famous project!
Inoo: We’ve been doing it for so long.
Hikaru: We’ve been seducing various things. Even though we imagined the items as things that could be brought in a studio, there was a time when a motorcycle appeared! We thought, “REALLY? A MOTORCYCLE?” (laughs)
Inoo: We asked, “you brought it all the way up here in the studio?” I thought that just a picture of it would do but that’s where we see the commitment (of the staffs). (laughs)
Hikaru: Since they even brought a washing machine once too, right?
Inoo: It’s also fun when a guest comes, right? I’m happy that not just JUMP members do the seduce corner when they come as guests, but other actors who come as guests do it as well. (laughs)
Hikaru: Ino-chan is so good in seducing. Without thinking, I end up listening to you carefully. Your grip (of the seduction) is so good!
Inoo: But I feel like I was only good during the first half of our radio show. (laughs) At that time, you were really bad at seducing but you’ve gotten better now. (laughs)
Hikaru: Certainly, I thought I was really bad at it too back then! (laughs)
Inoo: If you do seductions 100 times, you’ll really improve huh. (laughs)
It’s good if BEST is complete occasionally (laughs)
Hikaru: A new famous song, “Konya Anata wo Kudokimasu (Tonight, I will seduce you), was also born because of that seduce corner. (laughs)
Inoo: It was a cool song chosen by Hikaru but the lyrics was written over again for about 3 times. (laughs)
Hikaru: It’s because you requested for it to be straight and more extreme. (laughs)
Inoo: At that time, maybe I just finished filming for Mezamashi TV so my tension was high. (laughs)
Hikaru: For the costumes as well! You immediately decided, “I want to be a prince!”
Inoo: I wanted to be a star.
Hikaru: It seems like HiHi Jet’s Takahashi Yuto sang that song in a live! (laughs)
Inoo: Uwaa~ I wanted to sing with him too~ (laughs) But when we guested in other JUMP members’ radio shows, they let me do it comfortably. (laughs)
Hikaru: Me too. (laughs) And since I did it in my usual live broadcast tempo, the other members tell me “you talk too fast!” (laughs) Keito also told me, “Hikaru-kun, you talked fast so the program ended quickly.” (laughs)
Inoo: Certainly, it seems like both of us read the listeners’ mails faster than the other members.
Hikaru: When I listen to the radio programs of other members, somehow there’s more feeling of affinity than when I watch their tv shows.
Inoo: There’s that too. Maybe you thought about it like that because there’s a feeling of hearing them as if they are talking with you? (laughs)
Hikaru: Speaking of appearing as guests, all of BEST appeared as guests in JUMP da baby last time. It was really fun!
Inoo: You’re right. But maybe it’s good to be together (in radio shows) as 5 just occasionally (laughs) because if there’s 5 people, it’s quite hard to find the right tempo and timing. (laughs)
Hikaru: you’re right (laughs). But it was really comfortable and fun so as a future dream, isn’t it good if BEST could do a radio show together? I think (laughs)
Inoo: Before that, they should come to Radirer first (laughs)
I want to do a killer technique anime voice
Hikaru: Among JUMP members, whose talk seems interesting?
Inoo: Takaki! (laughs)
Hikaru: Ino-chan, you often find Takaki funny. (laughs)
Inoo: his tsukkomi. (tsukkomi: someone who butts in and corrects other people in a comedic duo)
Hikaru: his kind tsukkomi ne.
Inoo: He’s been funny even before but I think lately, he shows his funny side more on tv.
Hikaru: For me maybe it’s Yabu’s soccer talk. He told me about those things but since I’m an amateur when it comes to soccer, he uses simple terms. I’d like to hear experts interact. Something like that.
Inoo: A conversation with core huh! When I go on location shoots for Mezamashi TV, there’s a high probability that I will speak with foreigners. I think it’s good that I could use English at those times. I think it would be good if Keito could come with me. (laughs) It seems interesting if Keito could do a radio program where he can do interpretations in English. (laughs)
Hikaru: I haven’t done any work related with narrating so I’d like to experience it.
Inoo: That’s good!
Hikaru: Also voice acting. I only experienced doing a radio drama once but, acting with only your voice was very difficult. I also like anime so if it’s possible, I’d like to challenge voice acting.
Inoo: Expressing yourself with only words is difficult ne. You have to change your tone too.
Hikaru: I can’t let out a killer anime voice (laughs). But if children could imitate my voice (if he does voice acting), I think that would be good.
Inoo: Doing radio shows alone is also good. I also want to try reading the fortune-telling portion in Mezamashi TV. (laughs) I got nervous when I suddenly had to read it one time. That’s why “Inoo will now read the Thursday fortune-telling part” in Mezamashi TV. (laughs)
Note: I'm not a native Japanese and English speaker so there might be mistakes, sorry!
