Hi! I decided to translate this cross talk since it was just short and I had the time. They talked about JUMP love <3 I hope you enjoy reading this~ :)
Hikaru: Hmm the way I feel “JUMP love” huh~ For me it’s how trending things get transmitted around our group. I think it’s cute of JUMP to do that. (laughs)
Chinen: Ahh, such as games, right? When someone says, “this is interesting,” almost everyone in the group gets into it.
Inoo: I also followed some of those things but if I compare myself to everyone in the group, I’m not the type who goes along the trend. (laughs)
Hikaru: Recently, JUMP members have been into hand spinners (fidget spinners). Yuto taught me and I thought it was interesting so I got into it.
Chinen: I have a hand spinner since before too! Now that you mentioned it, when JUMP got into survival games, Ino-chan didn’t play it, right?
Inoo: I didn’t play~ From the start, I’m the type who tries games but gets frustrated on it after 3 days or so. Does this mean I’m not included in Hikaru’s “JUMP love?!”
Hikaru: It’s okay! You are still included! I think of Inoo as an exception to that. (laughs) Ino-chan, you often go somewhere to interview people for Mezamashi tv, right? Do you know fun places to visit?
Chinen: Ah! There’s this one where you do a dunk shot while jumping on a trampoline, right?
Inoo: You watched it huh, Chinen (bitter smile)
Chinen: It’s because Inoshira corner shows at around 7:20am!
Inoo: Thank you for promoting it. I can feel the JUMP love! (laughs) One of the things I enjoyed was the one where you get lifted midair by the wind below (like indoor skydiving). It’s plain compared to the actual skydiving activity but it still feels good and gives you the thrill.
Hikaru: That’s it! That’s it! About the “JUMP love” I was saying earlier, I think like this is good where we all get into trending things or just have a chat about things we enjoyed.
Chinen: I get what you mean! If somethings up, we just say, “hey hey, last time this happened…” to each other. And also if one of us is doing something new, we tend to ask them about it and such.
Inoo: Certainly, I usually see that kind of scene. But it seems like as you get older, those kinds of interactions naturally decrease. So maybe JUMP’s mental age is still that of a junior’s (laughs)
Chinen: Ah~ yeah it’s like that in juniors, right? If something is trending, it spreads out to all the juniors!
Hikaru: …I see. JUMP is a debuted group with a junior system! (laughs) Come to think of it, Micchi (Miyata) and Senga who often come play in JUMP’s dressing rooms can be also considered as debuted but still junior-like people. (laughs)
Chinen: They were also in our dressing room the whole time during Music Day too, right?
Hikaru: For some reason, Senga is attached to me. He tells me things like, "master! For me, Yaotome-san is a master of laughter so I would listen to anything you'd say!"
Inoo: he's still junior-like (laughs)
Hikaru: Now that we started talking about junior days, there's a lot of stories of the time when Ino-chan was in J.J. Express and of me in Ya-Ya-Yah but halfway through our Junior days, both of us were also included in a unit group called Kitty. Tottsu and Kitayama were also included.
Inoo: Ah yeah!~ We were suddenly told, "YOU! Next time you're called Kitty," while we were on our way home. I remember that I answered, "yes!" without thinking twice.
Hikaru: We also had a photoshoot in Las Vegas with that member line up, right?
Inoo: We did! We did! Kawai-kun and Tsuka-chan were also there.
Chinen: JUMP, Kisumai, A.B.C...what a member line-up! At that time I was....
Inoo: in Shizuoka doing dodgeball, right? (Laughs)
Chinen: yes. I was doing that literally every day!
Inoo: Weren't there any talks with Johnny-san about a new unit at that time?
Chinen: None. I just remember being scolded, "YOU! You're with Keito too much!" (Laughs)
Inoo & Hikaru: AHAHAHAHA!
Chinen: It's because we really did things together every day at that time.
Hikaru: But I get what you mean! I was also scolded for the same reason. At that time, I was always with Dai-chan. "YOUtachi! You always tag along with each other too much!" But it seems like there were a lot of talks on JUMP having members who were blessed during their junior days. I don't think that's the case though.
Chinen: eh, but wasn't there a feeling that you were put into Ya-Ya-Yah whose name was also the name for a variety show immediately after you entered the agency?
Hikaru: It's like that when you put it into words but being under a lot of pressure to produce results immediately was no joke. I still didn't have enough experience so I was always worried.
Inoo: Ohh~ is that so. I think looking from the sides, you rose quite fast.
Hikaru: Looking at myself, I was quite an underling. I didn't want to be a dancer but I had to take dance lessons since I was young, and even had to study dance in New York. It was also hard for me so I have this feeling of wanting my efforts in that phase to be acknowledged too. (Laughs)
Chinen: Now that I heard about Hika's story, I feel like my story wasn't that difficult. I'm the type who thinks that I've come this far because of luck. (Laughs)
Inoo: but you can turn and do backflips... (implying that Chinen is good so it’s not just luck)
Chinen: the fact that I can do those things are because of luck too.
Hikaru: what a way of thinking. A person would normally say, "I did my best too," in that kind of situation. As expected of Chinen! (Laughs)
Inoo: Chinen, what was your first work when you became a junior?
Chinen: movie!
Hikaru: Amazing! Mine was variety show, you know! (Laughs)
Inoo: Mine was waving flags. It's the most basic job of a junior. (Laughs) Thinking that way, aren't I the one who took a junior's royal course the most among JUMP? Because after entering Johnny's at 5th grade, I've only waved flags for about 2 years.
Chinen: But when I first saw Ino-chan, you were already one of the famous juniors. There was also an Ino-chan corner in a junior variety show. But you know, we had different careers and age group so even if we ended up in different unit groups, it wouldn't be that weird.
Hikaru: Right. Even if Ino-chan were to be in Kisumai, it would not have been weird in the past.
Inoo: right. Tama (Tamamori Yuta) who was in the same unit as I is now in Kisumai too... Based on age, BEST is not unusual to be together too.
Chinen: how about A.B.C-Z (note: to be with JUMP members I think)?
Hikaru: A.B.C-Z is a bit different. Their senpai / senior vibe is still strong as expected. I feel like they're an older brother group. When I entered Johnny's, Kawai-kun was the one who taught me a lot of things.
Inoo: If you base it on age, it isn’t weird if Chinen was still a junior now.
Chinen: yeah. Basing on age, I'm around the same with SixTONES!
Hikaru: I kind of want to see a scene of Chinen with SixTONES. (Laughs) But it's fate that JUMP turned out to be these members, right?
Chinen: you're right. We had a senior junior feeling at first but now we've all become so close with each other. I'll say this myself but, I think JUMP has become a nice group.
Hikaru: yeah. I love JUMP too.
Inoo: I love our group too...it feels like JUMP love is overflowing too much. When I read back to this next time, I'll feel shy. It's scary! (Laughs)
