The surgeon successfully bypassed his bile ducts round the pancreas, and then was able to clear the gall bladder, which apparently was backed up solid with gunk. The kid continues to respond well to treatment. They're going to take him off the IV antibiotic drip and try for oral antibiotics, especially since he's now keeping everything down without an anti-nausea drug aid ( Read more... )

Seamus has been checked into the kitty hospital. He's apparently jaundiced and dehydrated. X-rays show no physical obstructions. The vet speculates that it may be an infection blocking bile ducts. They have him on a catheter to rehydrate and to take in antibiotics, though they're unsure if he even has an infection. If he shows no improvement ( Read more... )
