The surgeon successfully bypassed his bile ducts round the pancreas, and then was able to clear the gall bladder, which apparently was backed up solid with gunk. The pancreas is very swollen and inflamed. No tumor, so with great relief that can be ruled out. They've taken biopsies of the gall bladder contents and pancreas in the hopes of discerning what, exactly, is behind the pancreatitis.
If he's doing well tomorrow, he should come home in the evening. I might have to feed him through a tube for up to a few weeks doing so every six hours. (I'm sure that both human and feline are going to LOVE that experience.) This may put a cramp on Last Chiaroscuro activities as I might have to leave early to feed him; but the kid comes first. Sorry.
