I ran in to my old Scout Master from Boy Scouts this morning on my way to work. He seems to be doing pretty good (despite a few kicks from life) and much to my surprise is a neighbor of mine living one street over. He was probably one of the most influential men in my life behind my father and my grandfather (mom's dad) in my life.

...at least financially. Since shortly after we got married we get phone calls for someone with the same name as GFWTR's married name but a different middle initial. So this afternoon I headed downstairs to change my laundry and low-and-behold a starling was flying around the basement. I quickly ran back up the stairs and shut the door to the rest of the house and opened the side door. A little fun chasing the critter around the basement and he was chased up the stairs and out the side door. The low key day

So while returning to work today after a late lunch at a Aladdin's, a small grocery/take-out place, down by Jacob's Progressive Field I saw Michael Stanley (wiki entry) sitting in a Lexus park on a side street there by the ballpark smoking a cigarette talking to someone else in another car.
