I officially joined USPSA. Just got my card over the weekend. I'm going to shoot Production with my stainless CZ75B. I have a BladeTek DOH for it as well. Been doing some draw, dry fire, and reloading practice over the winter. And, just got 1K of Montana Gold 9mm and a conversion kit for my 550B.

I'm all serious this year! Might even shoot the Area 3 sectional in July up in NE.

As an RO I got to say you CZ guys in Production always make me nervous with the lack of a decocker and having to manual put the hammer down on a loaded chamber. I do think the CZ are great gun anyway.

I also just returned to Montana Gold Bullets. In an effort to save money I tried some Precision Delta 180gr 40s and they were really bad. Weights would vary by as much as a 1-gain or more and I found three bullets in one box of 1000 that rattle; Yes the lead core was actually loose in the jacket. I did find PD's 230gr FMJ 45 to be pretty good but there 40s were another story. I am now using 180gr CMJ Montana Gold in my XD-40 and 200gr CMJ in the S&W 610 and when we move outside I shoot lead in the XD-45.

I haven't really figured out what big matches I am shooting this year yet. I am definitly planning on working as an RO at the Western PA Sectional Match in September. It will be hosted by Gem City where I shot last weekend. I hope to get some 3-gun/multigun matches in too.

I agree on the putting-the-hammer-down-on-a-live-round thing. I hate doing that. ND waiting to happen, IMO. And, to be honest, I'm surprised USPSA allows that kind of action. Not like the DA pull is THAT big of a disadvantage compared to the risk of a ND...(If I had the spare cash, I would almost consider buying a decocker model of the 75, or a decocking P-01, and use it just for the game.)

That, combined with the 10 round limit, and I was just going to go Limited. (and it is why I ran L-10 with my 97 last season.) But, I am really weak on planning my stages and reloads, so I figured shooting Pro for a season should help me with that. And, my gear, even with the DOH isn't Limited class yet. (That will be a CZ Shadow worked over by Angus, or maybe even go all out and get a Tactical Sport...hehe)

Better upper back than lower.

One solution that dates back to Krista in the Dorms, for muscular problems, is to get roaring drunk. I thought she was full of crap until I spent a week with a painfully tight back, then happened to imbibe a lot on Friday and woke up pain-free. Maybe it's like a non-migraine headache--you just get all the muscles relaxed and that's the reset button.

First, I nearly forgot about Krista, what ever happened to her?

Second, I am going to have to try that drunk thing. Next time my back flares-up I might have to see if a bottle of Scotch can fix it, cause those steroids sure didn't.

She got married in the mid 2000's and went somewhere. I haven't heard from her since. I only hung out with her out here in Portland a few times when I first moved out and we lived in the same complex (when I was rooming with Singer).

Regarding your back, if the muscle relaxer didn't do it, I think the Scotch might not. BUT THIS IS SCIENCE AND WE MUST BE THOROUGH, wouldn't you say? :)

Definitely! I had a taste of a Scotch called Lagavulin a couple weeks ago. It had a very exceptionally peat flavor to it and would be prime candidate for just such and experiment. I'm sure it will result in a good drunk blog entry if/when it happens.
