In spite of not having to look at the piled boxes, that uneasiness has crept in. I think it's the blank walls that are doing it. I took down the wall hangings and masks over the weekend, and everything is very ... white. The uncovered walls, the empty shelves. I've been trying to come up with a general list of things I'll need or want (immediately or eventually) for the new place. In my searching, there seem to be a lot of horror stories of people forgetting about toilet paper and shower curtains and then trying to make do with newspaper and trash bags (respectively).

Help me brainstorm, please!
