help me with my list
I've been trying to come up with a general list of things I'll need or want (immediately or eventually) for the new place. In my searching, there seem to be a lot of horror stories of people forgetting about toilet paper and shower curtains and then trying to make do with newspaper and trash bags (respectively).
Help me brainstorm, please!

My room is looking very clean. There's still trash behind the door and random knickknacks hanging about. I don't think I'm going to worry about much of this until this coming weekend. The big stuff has been done, and the small stuff isn't giving me much anxiety. If I forget something, I still have a while to remember and come back for it ... I should probably hunt down some smaller boxes to deal with what's left, all the same.
The bookshelves are still holding: three shelves of food, two shelves of bathroom/toiletry items, candles, shot glasses, bags with unknown and various contents, jewelry, shelf decorations.
Closet: clothing on hangers (remaining for parental satisfaction), large plastic tub of linens, ice skates, plastic bags with unknown and various contents (mail with sensitive information, most likely).
On the wall/windows: masks, posters, curtains, tapestry.
The apartment beyond: some of John's inherited glasses, vacuum cleaner, toaster oven, pots and pans, one Pyrex bowl, and whatever of mine is in the bathroom. Note to self: check the hall closet for coats.
