Just handed in my keys and brought my luggage to school. I officially no longer have a place to stay in Norway. I'm now so excited that I hardly slept last night. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm approximately 24hrs away from being a Canadian resident with a work permit.

Adventure! Here I come!

We leave next Thursday. It hasn't really hit me yet. Or it has, but it keeps being pushed to the back of my head because I'm so stressed out about the thesis. I have to hand in four chapters on the 28th, and so far I've only finished 2. Started the third one today, but as you can see I'm here on the internet rather than writing it. 3ff3ct3r gave me 5 tickets for climbing for my birthday (last July) and today I finally got my ass down to the climbing center to try it. And it was awesome. Sure, I was scared to death since I'm deathy frightened of heights, but it was incredibly fun, challenging and just plain awesome.

So far, Egypt has been a mixed experience. As it turns out, Hurghada survives mostly on tourism, which means that downtown and the tourist area where our hotel is located is filled with salespeople yelling at us and taxies honking just in case we didn't notice they were there. It was originally 3ff3ct3r's idea to go to "Sommarland," a low-budget amusement park with slides and horses, and play with all the stuff and ignore the kids there and pretend like there was no problem being a grown up who plays like a kid.
