I worked at my new store the past two days. It's different, but I think I like it. At that store they have a new system of pricing where they actually scan their stuff into an inventory system and print out barcodes for it. It's been a pretty uneventful vacation. Today I finally was able to get into my mom's garden. Ugh, it's a lot of work. The ground is crazy wet from all the torrents of rain we've had lately - I'm sure that added to the difficulty of it all. Tomorrow I'm going to till the ground and transplant a few things. I just got back from a visit with Jesse in Madison.

On the first day, we went to a huge farmers' market that they have on Saturdays around the capital building. It was wonderful. There wasn't any fruit yet, but they had almost every kind of seasonal veggie you could want, as well as tons of flowers, both cut and potted. A lot of local artists ( Read more... )

Ah, tonight didn't go as planned. We had a decent time, but not as planned. We found out about a fantastic rib restaurant in Cincinnati, so we drove up there. Mmm... Breakfast was fantastic. First course was a flaky biscuit tart covered with berries. I ate around the strawberries (ugh!) but the blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries were divine.
