I've been home since Sunday afternoon, and though you'd think that, having taken time off work to care for someone who mostly sleeps, I'd've gotten a moment to update sooner, but no - somehow the last couple of days have been crazy busy. But it looks like a have a little chunk of time to finish up this story. ^_^

I'm feeling a bit better now. A couple of hours sleeping took the edge off, though this headache is still pretty frustrating. The whole time I was pregnant, I had maybe three headaches - I think I've forgotten how to deal with them. And they won't give me Excedrin, which is frustrating. So it's the wee hours of Sunday morning, and I've already lost track of how long I've been here in the hospital with Moira. I guess we're coming up on Day Four (though I think this hospital doesn't count Delivery Day, so it's Day Three officially). It's amazing how much you can learn in such a short time.

Bought a new bookcase today. My apartment is starting to look as booky as it did before we had the extra bedroom (and before we sold off every book we could possibly spare). I'm happy with it - it's good to have comforting things about. Also, the bookcase is a short one, so it does triple duty: it fills an empty space, it gives us a place near ( Read more... )

Tom and I had quite a day today. ^_^ It wasn't much - just a lot of shopping and then dinner - but it was fun. We went to a new-to-us place in Grandview called Paul's on Fifth Avenue. It's a family-owned Italian restaurant with diner prices and a kickass menu. We wouldn't have known it existed at all except that we got a coupon in the mail. ( Read more... )

I ordered some comics yesterday. Usually Tom and I buy from a specific site that sells both American graphic novels and (some) manga. We were all set up to toss out another order when I realized that I hadn't updated my Let Dai collection since May of '08. That's no good. So Tom let me order that instead. Tom and I went out on sort of a date last night. ♥ It was wonderful, though we didn't really *do* much. The best part was sitting on a bench next to a fountain where kids were playing in the water. It's snowing again. While that's really lovely to look at, I'm really glad that I'm home now and no longer driving in it. And I'm worried about my poor boy at work.
