I just witnessed an interesting bit of nature at work. Miss Sabu and I were hanging out on the back porch - me working on my novel while she watched a squirrel look for acorns in the yard. I left work early today because I wasn't feeling too well. I feel a bit better, though not enough to say I'm feeling fine. Blarg. Today has been, paradoxally, very relaxing and very productive. I set myself a to-do list this morning and I got it all done: baking cookies, vacuuming, putting away laundry, writing, and even some miniature painting. And, for the first time in ages, I'm actually happy with the results of *all* of my endeavors. ^__^

Bu and I had a traumatic morning. She had to go to the vet because her shots were a bit overdue. She doesn't have a very good track-record at the vet's office; she's not the best-behaved kitty around. Last time she hardly cooperated at all and spent the whole visit hissing at the the vet and his assistant.

I watched the first DVD of Planet Earth today. I've caught an episode or two on TV, but it's really great watching it in order from start to finish. Also, although I love Sigourney Weaver, I'm very comforted by David Attenborough's narration. He's been doing nature programs for as long as I can remember, so it just feels right.
