Well, three months later I've finally finished reading As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann.  I am finding As Meat Loves Salt quite good. Maria McCann succeeds brilliantly in immersing me into the 17th Century. And what a bold decision to tell the story from the 1st person POV of a really nasty (at times) dude. Having spent so much time reading small-press gay fiction, books by authors I know and such, I decided to try something different so I'm reading a recent mainstream fiction book (gay-themed) set in the political arena of Washington D.C. in the 1950s.
