·         She’s fully expecting one or both insurance companies to just settle. The amount she’s asking for is a standard policy liability limit amount.

Remember that little accident last fall?

I just got served with a court summons. The passenger in the other car is suing both drivers.

My rational brain is telling me to be cool. To call the insurance first thing in the morning. That's what the insurance is for.

My lizard brain is running around in circles panicking and screaming.

Five years (and 120,000 miles) ago today I brought the BlueBeary home.

I ought to stop and get her a birthday present, like touchup paint or the rear-window wiper blade she needs.

Or at least a nice wash.

She's a good little car.

I discovered this morning that at some point in the previous 24 hours (I had to scrape frost off the windshield yesterday before I left for work), my windshield had cracked. A nice big curving crack, starting at the bottom of the passenger side and looping up toward the middle. The kind of crack that you just *know* is going to travel ( Read more... )

I finally got the car back from the body shop today. Huzzah! She looks just as perfect as the day I pulled her off the lot. They cleaned the inside, too, which it desperately needed.

Of course the next oil change is only a week away. *shrugs*

But it's still a happy start to my weekend!

Yup, I’ve finally gone and done it…

This has been a long week. Between work and car shopping, the earliest I’ve gotten home all week was 9pm and that night was the only one I got to bed before 11pm.
