(no subject)
Ya'll suck, and are useless.
My fan is dying. Unfortunately, Acer systems lack fan sensors, so I can't record how close to dead it is. I took the machine in to a shop today, who said the best he could do was clean it out, oil it up, etc... and it worked fine in his shop. Of course, I take the thing home, start it up again, and theres the racket, and the screen is on the fritz. Lovely. Back to the shop, system is noisy, but the screen is fine. To fix the fan, I need the part, and that, I can't find, or at least it'll take a bit of time. Unfortunately, I need my computer, and worrying about it overheating after 10 minutes of work just doesn't fly. As such, on my way home, I stopped in the drugstore.
Ingredients:
1 BBQ Rack
2 Baseball Camp Washing Frames
1 Pkg Pipe Cleaners
2 Freeze Packs
Oh, there's a fan in there too.
So far, it works (even without the freeze packs). We'll see how it does, midday tomorrow.

4:35 PM - Computer has been online for an hour or so. So far, so good. Not too hot a day, but... still.
