Phew, we had a busy weekend. On Saturday we hit the farmers market, the pool, the park for some frisbee-ing where Isaac managed to get our friend's new frisbee/boomerang thingie stuck in a tree, then an evening festival with fire-juggling, then a long walk back to the friends' where we had left our car, and we ended up watching Monty Python ( Read more... )

Ruthie's birthday party was this past weekend. I had it at Michael's, which is an arts-and-crafts chain store. For $50 you get the use of their party room and one staffperson for two hours. They have a variety of different crafts you can choose for the party activity -- we chose decorating t-shirts -- and you pay for the materials for that, which ( Read more... )

The week before last we had a tough week. Monday, Isaac woke up in the wee hours barfing, so I stayed home with him. This weekend the kids and I went to the bed store in Inman Square to look at bunk beds. I have pretty much decided that I'm going to get them a bunk bed in the near future. ( bed blather )

Yesterday (Sunday) we were at the cottage with grandma. It was a lovely day. The weather was picture-perfect and we had a nice time. It was slightly marred in the afternoon/evening by Isaac getting a splinter in his finger, which is still there because he absolutely freaked out when we tried to poke it out.
