Yesterday (Sunday) we were at the cottage with grandma. It was a lovely day. The weather was picture-perfect and we had a nice time. It was slightly marred in the afternoon/evening by Isaac getting a splinter in his finger, which is still there because he absolutely freaked out when we tried to poke it out. Tomorrow I have an appointment to visit the preschool that my nephew Bastian goes to, with thoughts of moving Ruthie there.

The preschool is very close to Isaac's school (which in turn is VERY close to where Baz and sandykidd and metafrantic live) so it would be convenient. It's also WAY cheaper than the place where Ruthie is now; and from what I've heard, SK and ( Read more... )

So, my grandmother died on Monday. This was not unexpected. She had Alzheimer's and had been "gone" mentally for quite a few years. Over the past month or two, her physical condition deteriorated pretty fast.
