The surgery was a success. My father's awake (or was a few minutes ago when I was with him at the hospital) and hungry again. Everything looks like it's going well. I can't begin to tell you how relieved I feel.

They just took my father in to surgery. He's got poor circulation in his leg which is complicating a severe foot infection. Just before they wheeled him into the operating room he asked what the success rate for this procedure was. The nurse told him "pretty good."

That's supposed to make me feel better, right?

This week my parents and I scheduled an old movie watching night. Mom and I went out and rented some 30s flicks (Fifth Avenue Girl starring Ginger Rogers is quite amusing, btw) and when we got back Dad was watching the Victoria's Secret fashion show.
