Death Cab for Cutie at BU's Agganis Arena - fucking amazing. Wall of sound without the ringing ears afterward. They played the good songs off the new album, a bunch of stuff from the rest of their catalog - and closed with "Tiny Vessels" into "Transatlanticism".

deanbiron and I went to see the new Coen Brothers film last night at the SIFF Cinema. No Country for Old Men is based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy. I won't spend too much time on this. A sadly disappointing film - giving it **1/2 out of *****. Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth) shines when she has meat in the script - but when the dialog is reduced to cliches and swooning schoolgirl romance, it's hard to stomach.
