[He's so surprised that the commuter slips out of his fingers. He makes a grab at it, and only manages to send it flipping through the air and onto the bed beside his, which is thankfully vacant at the moment. He chases it down!]

Terezi! Heeeeeey, wow, this is pretty exciting, isn't it?! We're both here, which means we're safe, and alive, and going to be okay, probably! Is anyone else here, aside from Dave and us?

[As he talks, he moves away from his makeshift niffler pen. He's pretty confident that there's no way Terezi would be more quiet, even if he explains that his new friend needed rest. The creature woke up when it heard her voice and is scratching around in there, but hopefully it won't take it into its head to escape just yet.]

Wouldn't it be great if everyone was here, and that way we wouldn't have to deal with him, we'd all be okay? And, also, they could all fly, and do magic, and Eridan could have a new staff, and also a wand that isn't incredibly--uhh. That's better than all of the wands he has! And I bet if we all came here earlier, then nothing really bad would have happened, everything would still be fine for everyone.

Oh, um. The screechsnap that got hurt? Or do you mean the niffler? He has digging appendages, and dark fur, and you can't see it, but his nose is really long, I bet his olfactory vents are really effective.

[The video switches down to the little creature. It's very small for a niffler, probably quite young. The creature's face is buried in shredded paper, and its flank rises and falls as it sleeps.]

Um. I was just thinking that maybe other people would maybe know a technique that's rare, or maybe had another good idea. Which, looking at it in retrospect, was not necessarily the wisest choice, uhh, considering how good at herbology some of the upper years in my house are supposed to be, so they probably already would know every way to deal with things when there is one.

[And now Dave thinks he's dumb. This face that he's wearing, it is the most miserable face. }:( Plus, it's been a long time since he felt insecure enough to use umms and uhhhs while talking to Dave. It feels pretty weird! AND YET HE CARRIES ON.]

...Nifflers are these little animals with digging claws and things. Except, most of them are larger than the one here,

so I think maybe this one is really young. And, um, the others were saying things about them loving money, or something, and causing damage to a lot of things, like what happened in the common room. So, I guess there's no denying that they do that.

[Meanwhile the coolkid is oblivious to it all, it would be strange if he weren't insecure. He just tries to listen but he hardly has any patience for things like calming down a "plant." It's a plant, why does it need calming down. See this is why Harley would do better to be a Hufflepuff than Dave were he one. He would be the worse Hufflepuff.]

They're nice looking. I think it's Professor Sprout's, since mostly all of the plants here are hers.

Yeah, um. I definitely understand how it must have been feeling. But it isn't like he did it on purpose, the niffler, I mean, and someone fixed it right back up, so I don't know why it yelled so much. And it nearly uprooted itself, too, it was so angry. Someone else is looking after it, since I don't know much about plants and things.
