[Wow, amazing. Everyone has always wanted to see the wall of the Hufflepuff common room, right? Because that's what this video seems to be about, at first, before the camera tilts a bit, following one of Tavros's oversized horns until his face comes into view. It's really something. Pointy ears, jagged teeth, oversized horns, yellow eyes... this

Terezi! Heeeeeey, wow, this is pretty exciting, isn't it?! We're both here, which means we're safe, and alive, and going to be okay, probably! Is anyone else here, aside from Dave and us?
[As he talks, he moves away from his makeshift niffler pen. He's pretty confident that there's no way Terezi would be more quiet, even if he explains that his new friend needed rest. The creature woke up when it heard her voice and is scratching around in there, but hopefully it won't take it into its head to escape just yet.]

And there's no sign of Jack either! So I guess you're right about the safe thing, probably.

[The video switches down to the little creature. It's very small for a niffler, probably quite young. The creature's face is buried in shredded paper, and its flank rises and falls as it sleeps.]

[The video feed blurs and shows off the dorm for a moment as he holds up his hands in protest.]
I promise I won't hurt you, or try and kill anyone, or explode places that are precious and nice, which demons do. I'm not a bad thing, I promise, I'm just a troll.

[He has an excited smile for her, but it transforms into a sheepish grimace when he remembers how their last conversation ended.]
Who I... er, called snooty, which seemed like a good idea at the time, given the circumstances, but really wasn't...
[His eyes search her face for anything that'll indicate if she's mad about it.]

I've managed to put that traumatic incident behind me, actually.

[Never mind that she already answered that question pretty effectively. HE MUST BE SURE.]

[yep. he has nothing better to do and didn't feel like paying attention to the whole thing so.]
Also if you got questions why not just find out for yourself. We're given tons of books so might as well whip one out and start reading. Can't rely on everyone here to hold your hand and show you each step of the game, this isn't preschool. If you trolls even have a preschool. [LIGHT SHRUG.]

[And now Dave thinks he's dumb. This face that he's wearing, it is the most miserable face. }:( Plus, it's been a long time since he felt insecure enough to use umms and uhhhs while talking to Dave. It feels pretty weird! AND YET HE CARRIES ON.]
...Nifflers are these little animals with digging claws and things. Except, most of them are larger than the one here,
[He shows it off on the commuter again.]
so I think maybe this one is really young. And, um, the others were saying things about them loving money, or something, and causing damage to a lot of things, like what happened in the common room. So, I guess there's no denying that they do that.

Technique. Don't you mean spell. Like I said just check the books.
[Though Dave would hardly take his own advice, he'd try to figure it out himself. Reading is Lalonde's thing.]
[Staring at it.] So it's a baby niffler then. "Screw the adults I'm gonna go do shit all on my own." Could learn a thing from it.
... Money. It's a greedy little bastard then. Give it money and maybe it'll scamper on back.

And also, umm. I don't have any troll caegars, or any kinds of money at all, actually.
[Plus he wants to play with the little creature, but he's pretty sure that it isn't a cool kid thing to say.]

[He glances down at the niffler, then back up at the screen, keeping his voice low so as to not disturb it.]
They're nice looking. I think it's Professor Sprout's, since mostly all of the plants here are hers.

[This is news to Roxas, he doesn't pay attention to this kind of thing. But he's more interested than anything] I mean, I guess... I wouldn't like to be broken by someone.
