Oh, um. The screechsnap that got hurt? Or do you mean the niffler? He has digging appendages, and dark fur, and you can't see it, but his nose is really long, I bet his olfactory vents are really effective.

[The video switches down to the little creature. It's very small for a niffler, probably quite young. The creature's face is buried in shredded paper, and its flank rises and falls as it sleeps.]

Oh, I guess that makes sense. I always thought that demons and powers and things had to be mean and terrible, but maybe I was wrong. I've only ever met one, and it wasn't so much meeting him as it was almost being killed by him, and then having my dream self be killed by him while he was asleep, so that didn't hurt or anything.

It's actually pretty nice to know that they aren't all like that, even though they're super strong and dangerous anyway.

Me too! Being here is really great, even though I can't see my friends any more. Or, uh, most of them, namely the ones who aren't here also.

I wish our demon had been the nice kind, though. Everything would have worked out a lot better for everyone, that way, and we could have all gone to the new world instead of hiding on an asteroid, and people making bad decisions and things. Everything was fine until he showed up.
