Oct 17, 2011 15:57

[Wow, amazing. Everyone has always wanted to see the wall of the Hufflepuff common room, right? Because that's what this video seems to be about, at first, before the camera tilts a bit, following one of Tavros's oversized horns until his face comes into view. It's really something. Pointy ears, jagged teeth, oversized horns, yellow eyes... this ( Read more... )

What's a... Screechsnap? I've seen those creatures around, though.

It's a plant that gets really mad when someone breaks it.

[He glances down at the niffler, then back up at the screen, keeping his voice low so as to not disturb it.]

They're nice looking. I think it's Professor Sprout's, since mostly all of the plants here are hers.

Um. Plants can get... mad?

[This is news to Roxas, he doesn't pay attention to this kind of thing. But he's more interested than anything] I mean, I guess... I wouldn't like to be broken by someone.

Yeah, um. I definitely understand how it must have been feeling. But it isn't like he did it on purpose, the niffler, I mean, and someone fixed it right back up, so I don't know why it yelled so much. And it nearly uprooted itself, too, it was so angry. Someone else is looking after it, since I don't know much about plants and things.

Maybe it didn't know the niffler didn't do it on purpose? I mean, it's a plant. It probably can't think that much. Can it think?

[He considers it for a moment.]

I have no idea. I don't think it has a think pan, so probably not, unless it keeps it underground. There are a lot of things here that I don't really understand.

A think... pan? There's a lot I don't get, either. ....actually, it's most of it.

Umm. Its sponge. Like in here.

[He taps his temple with a finger, smiling nervously.]

Humans use different words, I think, but I don't remember the right one.

Like... your... brain? That?

Yeah, that's right! I don't think the screechsnap has a brain, but maybe it's really small, like in some really big animals and things, or maybe it's in the root. It would be safer underground, in theory. I should ask Professor Sprout.

But it's a plant. Plants don't have brains. ....do they?

[He shrugs.]

I've never met a plant that yelled and moved before, either, but um... well, there it is. Magic makes things weird and confusing.

[He sounds excited about it more than anything else.]

Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of weird stuff here-- like the stairs. They keep moving. And a suit of armor tried to attack me.

I knew about the armour, but the stairs seem kind of inconvenient, and maybe dangerous if they move at the wrong time. I wonder why they do that.

Uhh, have you seen the ghosts, yet? I think they are especially exciting, especially the first time you see them, when you aren't ready. I saw one go right through a girl, and she was not happy about it.

I just think they're gonna get us lost. It's like this castle has a mind of its own. [Which, honestly, the last castle Roxas lived in did too. Only this one, he can't just portal around. How inconvenient]

The ghosts are those white, see-through people, right?

Yeah, and they're dead, which I think is kind of interesting, because they still are excited, and feel things, even though it's not in a physical way, it's mostly emotional. I talked to the Hufflepuff ghost for a while, and we discussed death and he's really nice. He's called the Fat Friar, but that's probably not his real name.
