I got my CPAP machine yesterday and so last night was my first full night on CPAP. I had to toss and turn a bit to find a comfortable sleeping position w/the mask - normally I sleep on my side, but I'm finding I can sleep on my back now as well ( Read more... )

So in my last post I made a reference to having Marshmallow Peeps in my hair. No, I didn't have real Peeps mashed onto my skull, just something that felt Peepy. I had electrodes attached to my scalp to register my brain waves (so they could see if I was in deep sleep, etc. at the lab) and apparently this sticky stuff is a conductor. Thursday was my titration study (where they figure out what pressure of CPAP I need). So I got to sleep with a CPAP mask. The one I had was a very comfortable (really!) nosepiece type. During a discussion on a fashion-related thread about how to avoid thigh-rub when going bare-legged under skirts, talk turned to "pettipants" from the Vermont Country Store. Starting tonight and going into tomorrow I get to take my in-lab sleep test! Tonight will be the big one where I am wired for sound like a lab rat. At least I get to wear my own jammies and can bring my own pillow. Then tomorrow sounds like real joy - a "multiple nap test" where I get to take short naps all day to see how fast I fall asleep.
