Just hand over the CPAP and nobody gets hurt.

Thursday was my titration study (where they figure out what pressure of CPAP I need). So I got to sleep with a CPAP mask. The one I had was a very comfortable (really!) nosepiece type. OH WHAT GREAT SLEEP I HAD. Despite being wired for sound and having Marshmallow Peeps squished in my hair and sleeping in a strange bed.

I called my doctor and left a message that I want my CPAP, like, yesterday.

I slept for maybe six or seven hours, in a strange bed, all covered with wires and sensors, and woke sooooooo refreshed it was unbelievable! I now know why I have been sleeping so poorly for so many years - and also, most likely, why I've gained a stubborn 25 pounds that I cannot lose.

I know there will be an adjustment period and everything, but I look forward to GOOD sleep and being able to stop using all those sleeping meds which I know are not good for me.

sleep, cpap
