Despite the heat (apparently it was the hottest day Sydney has had for the last 3 years) we went to Symphony in the Domain on Saturday night. It was a good night. I first saw John Barrowman in De-Lovely and completely fell in love with his version of Night and Day... Saw Uh Huh Her last night at the Carling Academy at Islington. Its a cool little venue that reminded me of the Gaelic Club back home. Uh Huh Her is best known for being Leisha Hailey's (from the Murmurs & she's Alice on the L Word) new band. Just got tickets to see Leisha Hailey's new band, Uh Huh Her, in early December and John Barrowman in April! So very excited right now.

Have been in even more dives. Am now looking to share and meeting some people tonight (two different houses) both on opposite sides of town. One is further out but it's cheaper. The other costs more but it's in walking distance of work. We'll see how it goes later on ( Read more... )

While I’ve been working up here I’ve been playing around with the songs that I have and have now finished the soundtracks for Studio 60, Greys Anatomy Seasons 1 and 2. Michael Bublé - Call Me Irresponsible - It’s a pretty standard CD that you’d expect from him it has a couple of new songs mixed in with a bunch of covers that most jazz singers do.
