Ahh! My cat! Caught a bird! I mean, he JUST caught it! I went downstairs and opened and closed the front door to begin the morning ritual of letting in the cat. Normally he hears this noise and comes up running and yowling for the door to be opened again so he can get inside and eat. But this morning I heard no yowls. We took a bike ride today. While circling the pond at a nearby park, we rode by bushes where some red-wing blackbirds live (they were there previous years too, I recall).
